I don't know much about the candidates for the 2008 presidental race yet, and I probably won't do serious research until next year, but I am interested in
Barack Obama. As a relatively new face in national politics he doesn't have long standing Washington connections, which leaves me with the hope that he hasn't sold his soul to the money grubbing powermongers that rule there. He has been a steady voice against the war in Iraq. (I can't wait for my tax dollars to stop funding an unjustified conflict that
killed over 30,000 people last year.) So there might just be some hope for the future, but I'm not going to celebrate. After all, how can I expect a country that elected George W. Bush in 2000 and again in 2004 to make a good decision in 2008?

Why are you interested in Obama? What has he done? What does he stand for?
I get a sense of youth and optimism from Obama that I don't get from other candidates. These traits do not a good leader make, but they catch my eye. A good dose of optimism and idealism might just be what we need in Washington. I'll grant you that this "sense" that I get is based on nothing more substantial than some sound bytes and skimmed news articles, but like I said, I'm interested.
If you know something about Obama you'd like to share or have an opinion, I'm listening.
My fellow Americans,
In the past, there have been many American's who have not used their right to vote for who represents them. The founding fathers gave us this right so that the power could be held by the people, and by not using it, we are leaving the power among the elite few. As there is an election coming up, we must participate in this right. I am currently involved with a video trying to convince Americans to do so. It is unbiased, and we hope it will inspire others to do their part.

All feedback is appreciated. Thank you.
Great video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mYnfhFlS6U8 it really gets to the point. Don't let the lines keep you away it's your future. Besides most states because of the expected high voter turn out everyone can vote absentee. You don't even have to leave you house the there is no excuse.
