I don't know much about the candidates for the 2008 presidental race yet, and I probably won't do serious research until next year, but I am interested in Barack Obama. As a relatively new face in national politics he doesn't have long standing Washington connections, which leaves me with the hope that he hasn't sold his soul to the money grubbing powermongers that rule there. He has been a steady voice against the war in Iraq. (I can't wait for my tax dollars to stop funding an unjustified conflict that killed over 30,000 people last year.) So there might just be some hope for the future, but I'm not going to celebrate. After all, how can I expect a country that elected George W. Bush in 2000 and again in 2004 to make a good decision in 2008?

US Presidential Election 2008
